ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the GM and Founders, the Head of Finance will lead the company’s financial strategy and operations, ensuring strong financial health through effective reporting, cash flow management, and compliance.
You’ll oversee the Finance team — including a Finance Manager, Local and International Accountants, and Offshore Bookkeepers. You’ll drive reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes across the business, and collaborate with leadership to transform data into actionable insights that guide decision-making and fuel growth. Your expertise will embed financial rigour, resilience, and strategic insight across the business.
This role is ideal for a proactive, commercially minded finance leader who thrives on making a tangible impact — where your decisions shape outcomes and drive meaningful change.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monthly Performance and Management Reporting - Deliver timely and accurate monthly reports that highlight performance and support business decisions.
- Financial Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting - Lead planning cycles, forecasts, and budgets to align resources with growth goals.
- Manage Insurance and Assets - Alongside the Finance Manager, optimise assets, service costings and insurance, ensuring adequate coverage and risk management.
- Oversee and Optimize the Flow of COGS and Expenses - Lead and implement the system design and organisation within the ERP to ensure clean input of data and margin reporting.
- Manage Cash Flow, P&L;, Balance Sheet – Monitor and optimize cash flow while reporting on P&L; and balance sheet health.
- Data Driven Projects – Use financial data and insights to drive projects that improve efficiency and performance across the business and reduce financial administration.
- Manage BAS and Tax Obligations – Ensure compliance with BAS, tax filings, and statutory requirements alongside the Finance Manager.
- Oversee Internal Controls and Compliance – Strengthen financial controls, policies, and processes to safeguard the business.
- Department Management, Mentorship and Productivity – Lead, mentor, and support the Finance Manager and offshore bookkeepers to maximise capability and output.
- Strategic Business Partnering – Collaborate with leadership and other departments to provide financial insights and shape strategy.
- Bank and Credit Management – Manage banking relationships, facilities, and credit arrangements to support business operations.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years’ experience in a senior finance role, with CA or CPA qualification.
- Proven ability in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience in Power BI or other analytical integrations.
- Experience working with an ERP, with understanding of logistics processes and how COGS flow through into financial reporting.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and business partnering capabilities.
- Demonstrated ownership of P&L;, balance sheet, and cash flow management.
- Ability to interpret and present complex financial data to inform strategic decisions.
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT
- Industry background in design, retail/FMCG, or manufacturing.
- Experience with scaling businesses.
- Experience with multinational business operations and accounting practices.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Business Central (or Microsoft Navision).
- Experience with Continia is highly regarded.
- Knowledge of supply chain, inventory management, and product margin analysis.
- Proven track record in systems agility or process improvement initiatives.
- Experience in a global finance function or shaping long-term financial strategy.
- A team-oriented leader with high emotional intelligence, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop others.
- You thrive in complex environments, bringing clarity and confidence, with the ability to influence and align people at every level to drive meaningful outcomes.
