Economix is excited to share we are building a bigger team to meet demands for our expanding business. We are looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join us in our Deer Park Workshop who is keen to contribute to the continued growth of the business.

About the Heavy Diesel Mechanic role:

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Heavy Diesel Mechanic is responsible for ongoing repairs and maintenance of the Economix fleet. This role will consist of scheduled and priority repairs along with preventative maintenance schedules and annual roadworthy inspections.

Diesel Mechanic duties will include:

- Maintain, service and repair company vehicles
- Diagnose and repair faults and defects in vehicles
- Field servicing/breakdowns as required
- Carry out tasks at the highest standard possible
- Inspections and assessments on vehicles as required (including the completion of the relevant documentation)
- Conduct all activities in a protected manner

Skills and experience required:

- Full Diesel Mechanic qualifications minimum 3 years' experience
- Truck servicing ability




- Experience with Diagnosing and repairing faults and defects in vehicles
- The ability to follow direction & work autonomously
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Physically fit for heavy work
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Earthmoving Equipment Highly regarded
