Otraco (a subsidiary of BMSA) is a world leading provider of Earthmover & Off-road tyre management services to the mining industry.
We are currently seeking a Senior Commercial Specialist to work out of our Head Office in a state-of-the-art building in Sydney Olympic Park.
You will report to the Senior Legal Counsel & together you will support our commercial strategy & legal compliance.
You will identify & understand our customers' needs & the business opportunities within the contracting & tender processes. A clear understanding of the commercial & legal limitations of BMSA & our customers is paramount.

The Prospect
- Development & enhance our ability to identify contractual, commercial & legal risks, utilising best practice to eliminate or mitigate
- Provide timely, accurate & commercially focused advice on contractual issues
- Review & optimise business outcomes through sub-contract administration, commercial risk analysis, insurance monitoring, reporting & control
- Coordinate the central review of Requests for Information, Quotations & Tenders
- Lead the drafting, negotiation & execution of high-value commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, service contracts & licensing arrangements
- Develop & maintain contract templates, playbooks & negotiation guidelines
- Lead or support dispute resolution & contract enforcement matters
About You - Essential
- Relevant Legal, Commercial or Business qualifications (Legal qualifications highly regarded)
- Demostrated experience in commercial contract management, preferably within a legal or regulatory environment
- Strong understanding of Australian contract law & regulatory frameworks
- Proven experience negotiating complex commercial agreements
- Current work rights in Australia
