Position Overview
The General Practitioner will provide comprehensive medical care to a wide range of patients, delivering best-practice assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic health conditions. The GP will work collaboratively with the clinical and administrative team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes and continuity of care.
Location assistance is available for clinicians relocating or travelling from regional/remote areas.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Care
- Provide diagnosis, treatment, and management of common acute and chronic conditions.
- Conduct health assessments, preventative health screenings, and chronic disease management.
- Deliver patient-centred care with a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuity.
Procedural Skills
Includes, but is not limited to:
- Removal of skin lesions and minor surgical procedures.
- Suturing and wound management.
- Implanon insertion and removal.
- Cryotherapy.
- Removal of foreign bodies.
- Joint injections, aspiration and drainage procedures.
- Pulmonary function testing (spirometry).
Specialty Areas of Care
- Women’s health, antenatal and postnatal care.
- Paediatrics and adolescent health.
- Aged care and residential care visits.
- Mental health assessment and management (e.g., depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder).
- Cardiovascular and respiratory medicine.
- Dermatology and skin checks.
- Ophthalmology and ENT presentations.
Clinical Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and timely clinical records (allergies,
medications, history, care plans, recalls, reminders).
- Complete referrals, prescriptions, reports, and care plans (e.g., MHCPs, GPMPs, TCA).
- Arrange appropriate investigations, follow-ups, and specialist referrals.
- Comply with Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS), Health Insurance regulations, and clinic policies.
Essential Requirements
- AHPRA registration (General or Specialist).
- Eligibility to work in Australia.
- Commitment to high-quality, evidence-based care.
- Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
- Professional, reliable, and patient-focused approach.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience in minor procedures or special interest areas (e.g., skin cancer, women’s health, chronic disease).
- Experience working in general practice or primary care settings.
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload.

Pay: From $124.92 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
