We are seeking an experienced Information Security Principal to join our Technology Governance team, reporting to the Global Head of Information Security. You will play a pivotal role in implementing and maintaining Tes’ Information Security Management System (ISMS), embedding security by design, and championing a positive security culture across the organisation.
What You'll Do
- Implement and maintain ISMS aligned with ISO27001, NIST, CIS, and global strategy
- Manage risk assessments and support Technology teams in addressing risks
- Guide cloud security controls across AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Coordinate local incident response and support global investigations
- Maintain and test incident response plans, leading post incident reviews
- Ensure compliance with security/privacy requirements and support audits
- Promote a positive security culture and deliver tailored awareness training
- Advise senior stakeholders and integrate security into business processes
- Monitor emerging threats and drive continuous improvement
What You'll Bring
- Experience managing information security programmes and projects
- Robust knowledge of ISMS frameworks (ISO27001, NIST CSF) and regulations (UK GDPR, Australian Privacy Principles)
- Hands on expertise with cloud platforms and security posture management
- Proficiency with security tooling (SAST, DAST, DevSecOps, Secrets Management,
Dependency Tracking)
- Background in vulnerability management, penetration testing, disaster recovery, and business continuity
- Ability to communicate security, risk, and compliance effectively to senior and non technical stakeholders
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO27001, cloud security) preferre
- Ability to work within a global team - some flexible hours may be required at times to collaborate with colleagues in the UK
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISO27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, or cloud security certifications are highly desirabl
