We at LikeMinds Studio are a dynamic rapidly growing design company located in Roseberry NSW who offers complete solutions to hospitality clients in Australia. We assist our clients to deliver solutions including but not limited to layout, equipment specification and design. We are seeking an experience Mid-Level Interior Designer to join our team.
In your role you will be working within our team and responsible for:
- Assist the lead designer and lead projects to create unique designs
- Prepare and modify drawings including construction drawings and tendering
- Preparing and modifying DA drawings, construction drawings, and tender packages
- Liaising with third parties including builders and contractors involved in the project to grasp a full and holistic understanding to
- Ensure drawing accuracy for project work
- Ensuring drawings are produced in accordance with relevant legislation and according to specifications
- Complete concepts and draw plans
- 2D/3D drawings
- Communicate and capture design ideas to third parties
- Manage external drafters and ensure that a high standard of drafting is maintained
Qualifications:
- Tertiary Qualification in a similar field
- Knowledge of Australian building codes, planning regulations, and compliance standards
Experience:
- Minimum 4+ years experience is desirable
- Experience in drafting and detailing for hospitality, or commercial projects
Skills:
- Robust architectural drafting and documentation skills
- Proficiency in Archicad
- Experience with building approvals
- Understanding of spatial planning, design principles, and joinery detailing
- Ability to interpret architectural concepts and translate them into working drawings
