Accounts Receivable Officer

The Accounts Receivable Officer plays a key role in ensuring timely and accurate processing of customer invoices, payments, and collections to help maintain healthy cash flow for the business. We are an evolving business and are looking for someone who is happy to be hands-on and proactive in identifying areas for improvement - whether that’s through AI automation, process streamlining, or introducing smarter reporting tools.
About the Role:

Responsibilities:
- Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and proactively follow up to ensure timely collection.
- Investigate and resolve customer queries or discrepancies related to invoices or payments.
- Prepare regular AR aging reports and assist with cash flow forecasting.
- Monitor the accounts receivable mailbox
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, audits, and other ad hoc finance tasks as required.
About you:
- Proven experience of at least 3-5 years in an accounts receivable or similar accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and AR procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Netsuite experience is preferable but not essential.
