We’re seeking a motivated and technically strong Financial Accountant to join an established manufacturing/processing business. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on accountant who enjoys working close to operations, and wants to contribute to continuous improvement across finance and the wider business.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, robust balance sheet control, and meaningful analysis that supports production, supply chain and commercial decision-making.
This role suits someone who enjoys getting out from behind the desk, working with operational teams, and understanding how the numbers tie into real business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Month-end reporting including journals, reconciliations, P&L; and balance sheet preparation
- Maintain fixed assets, capital expenditure tracking and depreciation
- Support inventory accounting, costing, stock movements and variance analysis
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting
- Partner with production and operations to provide insights into efficiency, yield and margins
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
- Support continuous process improvements across finance and manufacturing operations
About You
- Degree qualified Accountant; CA/ACCA/CPA (or working towards)
- Experience in manufacturing, processing, FMCG, distribution or product-based industries
- Strong understanding of inventory and manufacturing
- Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Confident communicator who can build relationships across operations and finance
- Proactive, hands-on and eager to contribute beyond the numbers
