Join our dynamic Team at DHL Global Forwarding! We are looking for an Air Freight Export Gateway Specialist, within the Air Freight Export Department, at our Matraville, Sydney Station.
Key Responsibilities:
- To collaborate closely with warehouse operations to manage cargo receipts for local pickups, domestic consolidations across the country, and import transshipments, and to direct unit build and handover activities, ensuring effective coordination between office and floor operations
- To verify and process shipment documentation, ensuring accuracy in data capture, cost allocation, and system updates.
- To liaise and negotiate with carriers and service providers to secure optimal rates and allocations that meet operational and cost objectives.
- To complete gateway functions such as scheduling, load planning, and movement coordination, ensuring on-time performance, ensuring that operational issues are proactively identified and resolved, providing guidance to stakeholders to maintain service integrity and minimize disruptions.
- To ensure compliance with customs, security, and carrier requirements in all documentation and operational processes.
- To monitor performance metrics and assist in preparing operational reports for management review while also contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and throughput.
- To provide operational support during extended hours as required to meet flight schedules and customer commitments.
