Job Title: Full-Time Wok Chef (**Wok Handling Experience Essential**)
Location: Superbowl Chinese Restaurant
Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 per year (dependent on experience)
Schedule: Full-time 5 days (approx 45 hours)
About Us:
Superbowl Chinese Restaurant is known for delivering exceptional Chinese-Malay cuisine with old-school flavours and fresh ingredients. We are looking for a senior Wok Chef to join our kitchen team and bring their expertise in wok cooking, food safety, and efficiency to our fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese-Malay dishes using traditional wok techniques.
- Ensure all food preparation and handling meet HACCP and food safety standards.
- Maintain strict control over COGS to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
- Operate and maintain wok stations, ensuring proper heat control and wok handling.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service and high food quality.
- Uphold cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times,
adhering to all food safety regulations.
- Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Wok Chef, specializing in Chinese-Malay cuisine.
- Strong team mindset!
- Strong knowledge of HACCP principles and kitchen hygiene standards.
- Skilled in cost control and waste reduction.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong wok handling techniques with excellent heat and timing control.
- Team player with a passion for high-quality food.
