About the role

This position is a part time, fixed term role until 21 July 2027 within the Property team and based at Moruya. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the leasing / licensing of public property and management of Council’s land assets.

The starting salary for this position is $41.05 per hour plus 12% superannuation.

About you

We’re seeking a detail‑oriented and collaborative Property Officer to support the effective management of Council-controlled land and property portfolios. If you’re motivated by good governance, practical problem-solving, and delivering high-quality service across leasing and licensing, this role is for you. Your application will demonstrate the following:

- Demonstrated understanding of legislation pertaining to land management, preferably the Local Government Act, Crown Lands Management Act 2016 and other relevant legislation.
- Work cooperatively with other Property team members and collaborate with other areas of Council to assist in the delivery of broader organisational goals.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
- Sound oral and written communication skills.
- Sound computer skills (word processing/spreadsheets) and experience in database maintenance.
