Merlo Coffee began over 30 years ago with a simple philosophy – freshly roasted specialty coffee served by people who are passionate about coffee.
Today, Merlo is proud to be one of Australia’s leading independently owned and operated coffee roasters, who supply the public, our own Merlo Coffee stores and 1,700 cafes and restaurants with freshly roasted coffee around the country every day.
We are seeking an experienced COOK plus KITCHEN ASSISTANTS who are passionate about people, quality food and excellent coffee to join our team at our Merlo Coffee Toowoomba stores: Russell Street, Wyalla and Xpress.
Flexible hours over a 7 day roster. Casual hours with potential Full Time role for the right fit.
About you
- Minimum 1 year prior experience required. Ideally a certificate in Commercial Cookery/ Hospitality
- Kitchen organisation: manage the workflow and meet preparation targets, complete food safety checklists and other OH&S; procedures, order stock and food items for the store
- Able to work in a quick paced environment and an ability to work autonomously
- Sound food safety and hygiene knowledge
- High attention to detail
- A fun,
hardworking and energetic attitude towards work
- A demonstrated understanding of the Merlo workplace culture
