First XVIII Football Coach
Part-time, Fixed-term contract
Prince Alfred College is a leading independent day and boarding school for boys from ELC to Year 12 based in Adelaide, SA. Our purpose is to nurture each boy to develop into well-rounded young men of good character, who are prepared to contribute positively to society. The successful applicant will have demonstrable experience in high level football coaching, display passion and enthusiasm for the sport, as well as the organisational and leadership skills to deliver results within the vision and objectives of the College.
The position is offered as a part time, fixed term position, involving approximately 10-15 hours per week across the football season.
The successful applicant will have the following skills and qualifications:
- A current AFL level 2 coaching accreditation
- Ability to analyse and edit game day footage
- Ability to evaluate player statistics
- Contribute to a whole school football philosophy
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven results in player development
- Capability to upskill and mentor other coaches
- A current Working With Children Check and First Aid qualification
Time commitments
- During term 1 you will be expected to have 4 contact hours a week before school plus 3 non-contact hours for planning
- During term 2 and 3 you will be expected to have 12 contact hours and 3 non-contact hours for planning and analysis each week.
The successful candidate will be supported by and work closely with the Director of Football and the Head of Athletic Development and Performance.
