The Opportunity:
Hunter New England Local Health District is seeking confident and experienced Paediatric Registrars (PGY4+) to support its paediatrics teams on an ad hoc locum basis.
Shifts span general paediatric wards, special care nursery, and paediatric ED.
You’ll work with consultant support in well-equipped facilities that offer strong paediatric nursing, midwifery, and retrieval team access.
This is an ideal chance for doctors looking for regional experience in a well-supported, varied paediatric environment without long-term commitment.
Clinical Environment:
- Deliver care across paediatric inpatient, emergency, and nursery settings
- Participate in ward rounds, admissions, discharges, and ED consults
- Work under consultant supervision with skilled nursing and allied health support
- Gain exposure to regional paediatric presentations and team-based decision-making
- A valuable opportunity for doctors pursuing RACP or GP pathways
Eligibility Criteria:
- AHPRA General Registration
- NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
- Australian working rights
- Willingness to complete onboarding and credentialing
