About the role
We are seeking a motivated and professional Junior Medical Secretary to join our team at our thriving specialist medical practice in Caringbah, NSW. This is a casual role where you will be supporting our medical team with a range of administrative and secretarial duties and work under the direct guidance of the practice manager. Ideal candidates will demonstrate attention to detail, exceptional organisational skills and be friendly and welcoming.
Available for flexible hours to support the casual nature of this position.
This new position will be offered from January 2026.
What you'll be doing
1. Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice
2. Answering and directing incoming phone calls
3. Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments
4. Providing general administrative support
5. Maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times
What we're looking for
1. Previous medical reception experience is preferred but not mandatory as training will be provided.
2.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with patients, doctors and other staff members
3. Robust attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
4. Proficient in using standard office software such as Microsoft Office
5. A friendly, professional and empathetic demeanour
6. Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information
7. Australian work rights are required for this position.
