Yakult Australia is a global leader in probiotics, manufacturing and marketing the unique fermented milk drink ‘Yakult’, with our head office and state-of-the-art production plant located in Dandenong South.

We are currently seeking Production Operators for a full-time, 12-month contract, with the likely possibility of permanency.

Working Hours

We are currently looking for people to join both our Day Shift and Afternoon Shift. This position is full time - Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week.

Day Shift works between the hours of 6:00am and 6:00pm. Afternoon Shift works between the hours of 2:00pm and 11:59pm.

Occasional paid overtime and weekend work may be required.

Salary

The starting salary for this position is $49,227.61 plus superannuation for the first three months, increasing to $52,894.92 plus superannuation upon the successful completion of the three-month probationary period. Afternoon Shift employees will receive a shift allowance.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Set up and oversee the running of production machinery

- Ensure product meets required standards

- Sanitize/ clean (CIP and steaming)



production equipment and machinery parts

- Adhere to all policies and procedures including Occupational Health and Safety, GMP, HACCP, and ISO

- Complete paperwork at each work station

To be successful in this role, you will need to be as physically fit as this position requires:

- Working in hot and hold environments

- Lifting, pushing, and pulling

- Bending, crouching, and kneeling

- Repetitive movements of hands and arms

- Gripping firmly with both hands

- Standing and sitting for long periods

- Climbing stairs and ladders

- Working above shoulder height

- Ability to work autonomously and within a team

Ideally, applicants will have experience working as a production/machine operator in an FMCG environment. Applicants who hold a Forklift license will be looked upon favorably.

Experience working in the food, beverage, or dairy industry and/or injection moulding machine operation will be highly regarded.
