About the Role
As a part of the Group Compliance team, you will have the chance to work alongside highly experienced risk and compliance specialists in an interesting and fulfilling role, brimming with opportunities.
Your duties and responsibilities
- Lead an engaged, high-performing team that emphasises collaboration, trust and respect of divergent views and model inclusive leadership behaviours that instil a safe and open culture.
- Empower the team to do their best work by supporting their professional development and well-being.
- Ensure that the team is adequately staffed by appropriately trained and competent specialists with sufficient authority to perform their role effectively.
About You
- 7+ years legal experience, insurance and/or financial services compliance experience (General insurance strongly preferred).
- Previous management experience.
- Ideally have a tertiary qualification or diploma in Accounting, Commerce, Banking Economics, Finance or Law.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of APRA prudential standards,
Corporations Act & Regulations, ASIC Act and Regulatory Guides, Insurance Contracts Act, and the General Insurance Code of Practice.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams towards achieving team and individual goals.
- Strong ability to access current and correct compliance information and interpret relevant regulatory legislation.
- Proficiency with risk incident software.
