Description of position/ skills/ experience required:

- Preventative and breakdown maintenance

- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, rebuild a range of heavy mining equipment and machinery.

- Servicing/ overhauling and rebuilding heavy diesel machinery

- Liaise with clients and managers to ensure timely completion of all work.

- Maintain detailed records of all work undertaken.





- Diagnosing and repairing: Identifying and fixing faults in diesel engines, heavy diesel equipment including dozer, graders and other mechanical parts, such as transmissions, steering, suspension, and brakes

- Maintaining and servicing: Performing routine maintenance, as well as full engine overhauls or rebuilds

- Disassembling and reassembling: Removing and replacing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components

Skills & Experience:

- Minimum 5 years of experience

- Ability to carry out tasks with minimal supervision or no supervision.

- Proven ability to meet deadlines and to make independent decisions.

- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.

- Proven ability to work within a team environment.

- Possess a driver’s licence. HR or HC desirable.

- Preferred certified Tradesperson, Heavy Vehicle Road Transport Certificate III or relevant qualifications and/ or relevant experience as a fitter
