About the role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this full-time Accountant role at Pacific Financial and Investment Pty Ltd (Pacific Auto) in Five Dock, NSW offers an exciting opportunity to join a respected and growing Used Motor Dealership. In this position, you will be responsible for providing high-quality financial accounting and reporting support to the business.
What you'll be doing
1. Preparing monthly financial statements and reports, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
2. Maintaining general ledger accounts and ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions
3. Reconciling bank accounts, accounts receivable, and accounts payable on a regular basis
4. Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
5. Supporting the month-end and year-end close process
6. Providing ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required
7. Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations
8. Collaborating with other departments to provide financial guidance and support
What we're looking for
1. Tertiary qualification in accounting or finance
2. 5-10 years of post-qualification experience in a similar financial accounting role
3. Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, methods, and practices
4. Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., MYOB, QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office suite
5. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders
7.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
8. Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and integrity
9. Fluency in Mandarin is required.
