About The Role
As the Energy Project Manager, you will lead and manage the development and implementation of Energy related CAPEX/OPEX business initiatives such as electric vehicle charging, solar and batteries to reduce Coles’ ongoing cost of doing business, emissions and business resilience.
Responsibilities
- Implement comprehensive recent energy, emissions reduction projects including EV charging, solar, batteries and load management in Coles supermarkets.
- Manage, develop and supervise projects, track results, manage risks to delivery and benefit timing.
- Enhance delivery through identification of risks and opportunities.
- Capture all benefits through regular and accurate reporting and provide information necessary for energy/carbon certificates.
- Ensure projects are delivered in a safe way with close consideration of customers and team members.
- Drive & implement technology projects as highlighted by the strategic roadmap for the energy and emission actions with an integrated portfolio approach.
- Manage and negotiate contracts with external CAPEX and OPEX suppliers.
About You And Your Skills
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management or Construction, or equivalent experience.
- Ideally, a background in EV installation or EV charging network.
- Proven experience in project management, technical scoping, design & implementation.
- Capital budgeting (NPV, IRR, and lifecycle costing).
- Demonstrated experience in Retail & Industrial project delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate to achieve objectives.
- Demonstrated experience in development of funding requests for capital projects.
