Our EnergyCo NSW Technical Advisory Services team is currently seeking to appoint a Power System Analysis Engineer to coordinate the procurement and sourcing of technical expertise in power systems modelling.
The Power System Analysis Engineer will be responsible for power system modelling and analysis, contributing essential expertise to advise the Corporation, Government, and REZ program members. Contribute to the seamless integration of REZ infrastructure and uphold a secure, reliable energy supply for electricity customers.
About You
The Power System Analysis Engineer will involve contributing to the technical network integration of Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) infrastructure, collaborating with network companies, AEMO, and energy entities. Successful candidates will excel in joint planning for shared transmission infrastructure, conduct power system modelling, and offer technical advisory support. Proficiency in technical due diligence, streamlining power system assessments, and contributing to the design of new assets is crucial. Engage effectively with network planning teams, support the development of REZ access regimes, and liaise with external bodies to keep EnergyCo NSW at the forefront of renewable energy expertise.
The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in power system planning and analysis, utilizing tools such as PSS / E, PowerFactory, and PSCAD.
Essential Requirements
- Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent relevant experience
Who we are?
EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of more than 14 gigawatts of new transmission capacity, coordinated with renewable energy and storage, including in five new REZs and two priority transmission infrastructure projects to date.
We are responsible for the on-ground infrastructure needed to bring new renewable energy online at the scale and speed to meet our transformation objectives in the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020 and NSW Network Infrastructure Strategy.
