Project Manager
Contract to 26 / 06 / 2026 | Carseldine + WFH
We’re working with a leading Queensland government client to recruit experienced Project Manager. In this role you will undertake the successful delivery of project / s (or technical work package / s) from Start Up through to Closing within a PRINCE2 environment, adhering to Business Solution Delivery (BSD), Information Technology Branch (ITB) governance and business requirements and ensuring benefits can be realise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Coordination : Plan and coordinate all project activities and resources to deliver the required outcome within the allocated budget and timeframes.
- Produce all required project documentation in accordance with TMR policies and procedures within an Agile, PRINCE2, and MSP governance framework. Ensure appropriate project governance and assurance activities are consistently in place.
- Liaise closely with all project stakeholders, including Project Executives, Project Board Members, Senior Users, Senior Suppliers, and Senior Management within the ITB.
- Provide effective management of risks, issues, conflicts, change requests, and priorities.
- Manage the project budget and finances, including developing and maintaining project schedules and managing resource allocations.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting on project progress to all stakeholders and offer direction and support to the project team.
- Develop and implement essential communication plans, organisational change management plans, and benefit realisation plans where necessary.
What we’re looking for?
- Currently hold the Prince 2 Practitioner Qualification.
- Recent experience in delivering multiple application / COTS (Commercial Off the Shelf) projects within a complex Agile setting.
- Experience in software development projects.
- Experience using Microsoft Project for scheduling and control.
- Strong understanding of project administration, internal governance, and compliance practices.
