Customer Service Representative
Location: Yass
Pay Rate: $37.39 per hour + Super
Start Date: ASAP
End Rate: 7/06/2026 (potential to extend)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join a large NMSW Government Department providing exceptional support and assistance to customers. In this role, you will respond to multifaceted enquiries, deliver timely and accurate information, and manage complaints to ensure a positive customer experience. You will contribute to the smooth operation of the business while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Respond to a wide range of customer enquiries and provide accurate, timely, and consistent information through multiple channels.
- Update and maintain records and databases in line with organisational processes, ensuring information is accurate and accessible.
- Deliver high-quality customer service aligned with organisational values, ensuring a positive experience for every customer.
- Provide advice to build customer capability regarding products and services.
- Accurately record, manage,



and resolve complaints and escalated enquiries.
- Perform administrative tasks while ensuring compliance with privacy requirements and legislative obligations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance processes and efficiency.

Key Challenges

- Managing multiple customer service activities while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and meeting individual and team KPIs.
- Maintaining professionalism and resilience when handling complex enquiries and challenging customer behaviours.
- Completing administrative and processing tasks efficiently in a high-volume workplace.

Essential Requirements

- Ability to travel across NSW, including metro, remote, and regional locations, for up to 5 days during emergency response events (disaster recovery only).
- Availability to be on-call during emergency response periods as required (disaster recovery only).
