The Role
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will take full responsibility for the general ledger, balance sheet governance and key financial controls. Your robust reconciliation skills and attention to detail will support accurate reporting and a well-maintained finance environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on Senior Financial Accountant who thrives on ownership, accuracy, and improving financial processes. You will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of the organisation’s financial records while partnering closely with AP, AR and Payroll to support smooth operations across the finance function. Your role will include but not be limited to the following.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full ownership of the General Ledger and balance sheet
- Perform all balance sheet reconciliations to an audit-ready standard
- Conduct daily and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
- Import and validate bank files and transactional data into finance systems
- Support month-end close and contribute to financial reporting outputs
- Prepare journals, accruals and fixed asset transactions
- Work closely with AP and AR teams to resolve issues and improve processes
- Support the Payroll function by ensuring correct GL integration and accuracy of payroll entries
- Assist with external audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
The Candidate
- CA/CPA qualified or working towards qualification
- Advanced MYOB and Excel skills
- Strong experience in financial accounting and reconciliation ownership
- High accuracy and a proactive approach to resolving issues
- Confident with finance systems and importing data files
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across the finance team
- Organised, deadline-driven and committed to process improvement
