Ravenswood School for Girls is a Uniting Church Prep to Year 12 day and boarding school for girls located on Sydneys North Shore. Ravenswood offers both the HSC and the IB Diploma Programme as well as the PYP in the Junior School. We are seeking a passionate and skilled English Teacher to join our dedicated team in a permanent full-time capacity commencing at the beginning of Term 1 2026.
At Ravenswood we are committed to inspiring students both academically and through co‑curricular activities. We are looking for a dynamic and engaging classroom teacher who brings creativity and rigor to curriculum delivery and thrives in a professional collaborative team environment.
To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated teaching ability in English including :
- Experience in teaching English to Years 7‑10
- An awareness of and ability to teach the new Stage 6 HSC English Advanced or Standard courses and / or IB English would be desirable
- The ability to effectively integrate ICT into the classroom
- A strong capacity for differentiating curriculum delivery
- A flexible and collegial approach to teamwork
The ability to teach in an additional Key Learning Area (KLA) such as History or Religious Education would be considered an advantage and may be required depending on staffing needs.
