Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for accurately processing high volumes of financial transactions performing reconciliations for month-end and year-end reporting and responding to client enquiries. The successful candidate will also provide timely and accurate support to both internal and external stakeholders across multiple subsidiaries.

Responsibilities

- Perform daily bank reconciliations across multiple accounts.
- Manage trade debtors including monthly reporting and reconciliation.
- Process refunds credit notes and write-offs accurately.
- Prepare month-end reconciliations and supporting workpapers.
- Post journals for approval during month-end and year-end close.




- Transfer funds between accounts and subsidiaries.
- Assist with year-end accounts preparation and audit support.
- Liaise with auditors and respond to audit queries.
- Process ASIC and stamping transactions as required.
- Respond to client queries and support onboarding terminations and payment amendments.

Requirements

- Experience using accounting platforms such as Xero and NetSuite.
- Familiarity with tools like Blackline Billing Platform Stripe St George Gateway MS Dynamics CRM Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high transaction volumes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Self‑motivated team player who can work independently.
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to ask questions and add value.
- Resilience and adaptability to change.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
