The Opportunity
Are you a qualified library professional ready to lead and inspire? As Team Leader Collection Services, you’ll shape and maintain high-quality adult collections for the City of Perth Library, using data, community feedback, and insights to keep resources relevant and engaging. You’ll also lead a small, committed team, helping to deliver a welcoming and responsive library experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and develop adult library collections to a capital city standard, applying skilled expertise.
- Monitor usage, community needs, and trends to guide selection, budgeting, and ensure customer-focused collections.
- Manage acquisitions and budgets across multiple purchasing streams, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of stock.
- Lead and support a small team, fostering high-level customer service, staff development, and smooth day-to-day operations.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Library and Information Studies.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in collection management and stock selection.
- Understanding of WA public library services, including State Library procedures, and familiarity with cataloguing and classification principles.
- Strong problem-solving, organisational, and customer service skills,
with the ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively.

Eligibility
