About the role and team
The Mobile Speed Camera Program is recruiting a Network Operations Centre Operator (Control Room Operator) to join our team of 10 Operators and 3 Supervisors in Ingleburn, reporting to our Operations Manager (Alex).
This position is primarily phone-based supporting our Mobile Speed Camera Operators sessions and wellbeing: you'll contact them when they start or end shifts, encounter technical difficulties, or face any issues with members of the public. In addition to the phone duties, you'll also handle administrative tasks such as documenting shift information in spreadsheets. The volume of calls can vary greatly, ranging from 50 to 100 calls to our Operations Centre per day.
About the roster
The roster is a bit different to your typical 9-5, meaning more days off! You'll work 12-hour shifts on a 24/7 rotating roster, including days, nights and weekends. This is typically 2-3 shifts on followed by 2-3 shifts off, doing 2 weeks of days then then 2 weeks of nights.

- Experience in a call centre or working in a similar environment
- Able to work across a 24 x 7 schedule
- Strong communication skills and a professional phone manner
- Computer-literate, and open to learning new systems
The recruitment process
G4S runs a staged recruitment process that includes:
- Shortlisted applicants will have a quick 10-minute phone call with our Talent Advisor, Melanie - to learn more about the role
