**About the role**
Redeemed Care Inc is seeking passionate and dedicated Community Workers to join their team in Welshpool, WA. This is a full time opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in your local community.
Key responsibilities
- **Needs assessment**: Evaluate community needs and available resources for health, welfare, housing, and employment.
- **Program development**: Plan, develop, and implement educational, training, and support programs for individuals and groups.
- **Client support**: Interview clients, assess their needs, monitor progress, and refer them to other agencies as needed.
- **Liaison and advocacy**: Connect with community groups, welfare agencies, and government bodies to address community issues and promote services.
- **Resource provision**: Provide information and resources on local data, good practices, and available programs to community members.
- **Community engagement**: Organize community events and activities and assist in resolving social problems.
Required skills and qualifications
- **Education**: A qualification equivalent to an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level 5, such as a Diploma in Community Services or a related field.
- **Experience**: Relevant experience is crucial, and in some cases, three years of relevant work experience can substitute for formal qualifications.
- **Skills**: Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to work with diverse clients and communities.
- **Other requirements**:
- First Aid and CPR certification
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (if working under the NDIS)
- Working with Children Check (if applicable)
- Police Clearance

Minimum of 3 years previous experience in NDIS service, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Empathy and a genuine passion for enhancing the quality of people with disabilities.
