Salumerie is more than a deli — we’re a vibrant slice of Italy nestled right in Sydney. Founded with a passion for authentic flavour, we craft our sandwiches on house-baked focaccia filled with premium Italian deli meats, cheeses, and seasonal produce. Our locations invite guests to enjoy everything from takeaway sandwiches and espresso to pantry staples and picnic-worthy antipasti.
Inspired by traditional Italian delis, we believe in the joy of good food, warm service, and a relaxed, community-driven atmosphere. Whether you’re popping in for your daily sandwich, picking up ingredients for a weekend gathering, or joining us for a casual aperitivo, we’re committed to bringing a genuine Italian experience to Australia.
Position Description
If you are looking for a career in hospitality, Salumerie offers it all. Successful applicants will be trained across all store operations and will be working in a fast paced environment side-by-side with other young, energetic and fun people. Our work environment is clean and dynamic.
Juniors are welcome to apply and the payrate will be based on age as per the fast-food award.
Essential Duties
- Providing the Salumerie experience at all times – lasting,
positive experiences and vibes for our customers with the purpose of improving their day through great service and quality food
- Prepare espresso-based drinks, teas, and cold beverages.
- Work fast and efficiently
- Support front-of-house during busy periods.
- Complete opening and closing side duties.
- Engage with your team and customers alike
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene
- Work across one or more of our various food preparation areas
Individual Requirements
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and work as team
- Ability to ensure product consistency, maintain store operational standards and complete daily tasks
- Ability to work across a 7 day roster, including early morning starts
- Experience as a barista
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to learn quickly
- Honesty and reliability is 100% essential
- Legal right to work in Australia

Pay: $30.00 – $36.00 per hour
