The National Anti-Corruption Commission enhances integrity in the Commonwealth public sector by deterring, detecting and preventing corrupt conduct involving Commonwealth public officials. It does this through education, monitoring, investigation, reporting and referral.

**About this chance**

The NACC has an EL1 Assistant Director Inclusion and Capability position available for immediate filling in Canberra. A merit list will be established to fill vacancies arising in the next 18 months.

**About the role**

The Assistant Director Inclusion and Capability will report to and work closely with the Director People Team to deliver key learning and development programs while supporting an inclusive culture to ensure the NACC delivers its goals.

Working under limited direction, the Assistant Director Inclusion and Capability will provide advice on various aspects of capability building,



assist with the drafting and implementation of a new Inclusion Program and manage all aspects of procurement and contract management of learning and inclusion programs.

**Key activities**

Key activities of this position include:

- Lead and support the development and ongoing implementation of a new NACC Inclusion program covering Australian Government strategies for First Nations Peoples, disability and gender initiatives.
- Lead and support the development and ongoing implementation of a NACC Reconciliation Action Plan.
- Support employees and managers to advise on and implement workplace adjustments as required.
- Lead the implementation of key capability policies and programs including induction, essential learning, studies assistance and the Rewards and Recognition Program.
- Provide best practice and contemporary advice and support to staff and managers on capability and career management to support organisational performance.
- Manage the procurement of inclusion and capability programs in accordance with Whole of Australian Government policies and procurement rules.
- Manage the central capability budget to produce equitable outcomes across the NACC.
- Represent the Branch and the NACC at internal and external forums.




- Demonstrate leadership in fostering an inclusive and learning workplace culture.

The NACC is a small agency. In addition to these activities, from time to time you may be asked to undertake tasks that are outside your usual span of duties but that are within the range of your capabilities. Supporting one another in this way provides opportunities for exposure across the agency and is an integral part of the NACC’s positive workplace culture.

**Eligibility**

- **Citizenship -** applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
- **Security clearance -** this is a Designated Security Assessment Position. The occupant of this position will be required to undergo and maintain a security clearance to Negative Vetting 1.
- **Suitability assessment -** the NACC must be satisfied that successful applicants are of suitable character. They must undergo a rigorous pre-employment suitability screening process that can be intrusive in nature including (but is not limited to) detailed background, character, employment, police and financial checks.
