Join our team at Giulia Italian, a well-loved local restaurant known for authentic Italian flavours and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We are currently seeking a Casual Chef to support our kitchen team, primarily working in the starters/larder section, with flexibility to assist other sections as needed.
About the Role
We’re looking for someone reliable, organised, and passionate about quality food. This role is ideal for a chef who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in consistent presentation and preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the starters/larder section with preparation, assembly, and service.
- Assist other kitchen sections when required.
- Ensure dishes are consistently presented to a high standard.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workstation.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of relevant kitchen experience (larder or starters experience highly regarded).
- Ability to work a variety of shifts.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working under pressure during busy services.
- A positive attitude and robust team focus.
- Work authorisation for Australia (sponsorship/visa support can be provided if required).
