Your Role
As Financial Controller reporting to the CFO, you'll be responsible for all finance and accounting operations across the business, its subsidiaries and projects.
This role will be based in Sydney CBD and will be engaged on an initial 6 month contract & attractive day rate.
Key responsibilities:
- Financial planning, analysis, budgeting and forecasting with the FP&A; Manager and business leads
- Manage consolidated financial reporting, statutory accounts, and management reports in compliance with AASB standards
- Develop and implement accounting controls, policies, and month-end close processes
- Oversee cash flow management, banking relationships, and funding request preparation
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team
- Manage external audits and all statutory taxation obligations
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Your Background & Experience
- Proven Financial Controller experience in property development, energy or infrastructure sectors
- Deep accounting expertise across consolidations, reporting, budgeting, forecasting and multi-currency environments
- ERP implementation experience (NetSuite desirable) and proficiency with systems like Xero, Oracle, ApprovalMax, Planful
- Track record of leading high-performing finance teams with strong business partnering skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance plus CPA, CA, CIMA or ACCA qualification
- Big 4 accounting firm experience desirable
