WANTED: Junior Printer Operator

About the role
We are focused on hiring someone with a positive attitude who wants to do a good job. Our ideal candidate will be adaptable, able to follow instructions and work as part of a team to achieve a common goal.
This is a full-time position based in our Maddington factory (Monday to Friday, 7.6 hours per day with a 30-minute lunch break). You will report to a Team Leader and be responsible for the efficient and secure operation of various textile printers to support the production process. A moderate fitness level is required as there is regular lifting of textile rolls involved. While previous experience using large format printers is desired, we will provide full on-site training to the right candidate.
What you'll be doing
- Monitoring and operating large format textile printers
- Producing goods according to instructions on client job bags
- Working collaboratively with the production team to meet daily and weekly targets
- Assisting with loading, unloading and movement of raw materials and finished goods
- Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Performing routine maintenance and cleaning tasks to ensure optimal machine operation
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency
What we're looking for
- Permanent working rights in Australia
- Ability to read and understand instructions
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety
- Physically fit with ability to lift and move large stock items by hand
- Fluent in English - written and spoken
- Reliable with excellent attendance record
- Happy and positive attitude
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Forklift licence a bonus but not essential
