We are seeking an experienced Laminator Operator to join our team in Mulgrave, Victoria. This is an opportunity to join a friendly, supportive environment where your expertise will directly impact our operations and success.
About the Role:
This full-time, day shift position involves operating and maintaining our laminating equipment to produce high-quality finished products. You will be instrumental in ensuring all printed materials meet client specifications for finish, quality, and durability. The role requires a keen eye for detail, a commitment to safe practices, and a proactive approach to machine maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain a high-speed laminating machine (experience is highly regarded).
- Perform machine setup, changeovers, and adjustments for various job specifications (e.g., film type, sheet size, pressure).
- Conduct quality checks on laminated materials to ensure perfect registration, adhesion, and finish.
- Monitor equipment during runs,
troubleshooting and resolving minor operational issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate job logs, production records, and material inventory.
- Adhere strictly to all safety policies and machine operating procedures.
- Assist the finishing department with other tasks (e.g., guillotining, packing) as required.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience operating laminating machinery within the print or packaging industry.
- Strong understanding of lamination processes, materials, and quality standards.
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Highly detail-oriented, with a focus on producing excellent quality work efficiently.
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a production team.
- Committed to workplace safety and following standard operating procedures.
