About the role
H.U. Partners' are seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our growing team in our Wayville office. This full-time role will see you take on a pivotal position in supporting our small business clients with all their bookkeeping needs.
What you'll be doing
1. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for a portfolio of small business clients
2. Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions
3. Preparing and submitting Business Activity Statements (BAS) and other tax documents
4. Reconciling bank and credit card statements
5. Providing bookkeeping support and advice to clients as required
6. Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
7. Ensuring client records are compliant with all relevant accounting standards and legislation
8. Contributing to the continuous improvement of bookkeeping processes and systems
What we're looking for
1. Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior bookkeeping or accounting role
2. Strong working knowledge of accounting software such as MYOB, Xero or QuickBooks
3.
Demonstrated experience with Xero accounting software is essential
4. Excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
6. Excellent communication and client service skills
7. Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualifications
