About the Opportunity
We’re seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join the team at the Golden Grove Operation in Western Australia. Reporting to the Underground Manager on an 8/6 roster, the successful candidate will scope, plan, and execute underground mine projects that support efficient and safe mining operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold and promote 29Metals Golden Grove safety standards through proactive audits, inspections, and observations across all managed projects
- Define project scopes and schedules, develop budgets, and obtain necessary approvals
- Engage and oversee specialist contractors with the skills appropriate to each project component
- Track and report progress against key metrics, including scope, schedule, and cost, while managing variations and defects
- Lead contractor-related injury and incident investigations, ensuring timely resolution of safety actions and work authorisations
- Share accurate scheduling and regulatory information to support successful delivery and continuous improvement
About You
You bring at least two years of experience in underground mining operations, a passion for solving challenges, and a drive for continuous improvement.
You thrive in collaborative settings and enjoy applying technical knowledge in hands-on environments.
You’ll also bring:
- A degree or diploma in Mining Engineering (preferred but not essential)
- Solid working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Exposure to owner-operated and contract-based mining operations, primarily underground
- Proven ability to deliver executable project plans and schedules
- A valid C-class manual driver’s licence
