Your Opportunity

We have an exciting permanent full-time position available to join our Marketing and Communications team at TAFE Queensland’s Acacia Ridge Campus.

As the Marketing Campaign and Project Lead for TAFE Queensland SkillsTech, you will operate as a senior member of the Marketing and Communications team. You will develop and coordinate marketing activities that support TAFE Queensland SkillsTech Marketing and Communication objectives in a commercial business environment.

This position reports to the Business Development and Marketing Manager

The position will be based primarily at the Acacia Ridge campus; however, you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.

Key Responsibilities

- Contribute to the development of TAFE Queensland SkillsTech’s annual regional marketing plan, providing strategic and specialist advice, suggesting activities that align with business targets and that are operationally feasible.
- Use knowledge of campaign processes and media strategies to develop, lead the execution of, and review tactical plans aligning to the annual regional marketing plan.
- Analyse, review and refine marketing approaches in line with continuous improvement practices and considered assessment of alternatives to ensure ongoing alignment with changing business requirements.
- Build local campaign content for publications, advertising, direct mail, social media, press releases, website and other marketing collateral as required, ensuring all success measures and KPIs are analysed and reported on
- Maintain established networks by actively engaging with key internal and external stakeholders, Business Managers, Business Development team and other TAFE Queensland regions including TAFE Queensland Corporate to enhance marketing operations and identify priority marketing requirements.
- Manage the budget tracker and activity expenditure for the SkillsTech Marketing and Communications team, ensuring marketing activities and spend run according to plan. Ensure the financial integrity of marketing activities and priorities by adhering to procurement requirements and analysing financial return on investment for marketing activities.
- Assist in developing regional sponsorship opportunities and actively engage with industry, business and other key stakeholders to strategically align with TAFE Queensland SkillsTech’s objectives.
- Guide a team of professional marketing and communications specialists to deliver end to end marketing activities, providing strategic and specialist marketing advice; and lead the implementation of the operational workflow by supervising the delivery of activities across the team, allocating resources and ensuring activities are completed on budget and within the required timeframe.
- Collaborate as a proactive member of relevant state-wide marketing networks,



providing support and advice, ensuring cohesive alignment of regional collateral and content with state-wide marketing objectives.
- Proactively participate in local Performance Planning and Development (PPD) processes, seeking opportunities for self-development and contributing to the development of the team through knowledge sharing and the provision of support, guidance and collaboration.

How You Will Be Assessed

The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:

- Demonstrated capability in achieving outcomes through the implementation of innovative marketing strategies including planning, financial management and project management which align to organisation goals and objectives.
- Ability to create a collaborative working environment by displaying flexibility and responsiveness and demonstrating leadership to foster a positive, creative and innovative team in a dynamic, challenging and changing environment.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and written communication skills including the ability to provide high level customer service and advice to commercial clients and internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated organisational skills with an emphasis on project management and resource allocation including the ability to successfully manage competing priorities and deadlines within time and budget constraints.




- Ability to maintain an understanding of the commercial aspects of TAFE Queensland including financial and business performance and any impact from external factors.

Qualifications / Requirements

Mandatory requirement:

- Previous experience in a marketing or advertising environment

The following requirements, whilst not mandatory, would be regarded as advantageous in this role:

- Experience in project management
- Qualifications in marketing or equivalent
