We’re looking for a motivated Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract based at our Melbourne Head Office.

This is a great opportunity to step into a high-performing, supportive Finance function and gain experience in a large, fast-paced organisation.

As our Accounts Payable Officer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely processing of supplier invoices and payments across the AVC Group throughout this 6-month contract period.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Processing supplier invoices through our AP invoicing system and ERP
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues arising from the scan/capture system
- Preparing regular supplier reconciliations, particularly for high-volume vendors
- Responding to queries and payment requests from internal and external stakeholders
- Preparing EFT payment runs on a bi-weekly basis
- Maintaining supplier master data — including adding, removing and updating vendor details




- Supporting the Accounts Payable Manager with ad hoc AP tasks

What We’re Looking For

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Accounts Payable or similar role
- Solid understanding of AP systems, processes and high-volume processing
- Advanced MS Excel skills and strong overall Microsoft Suite competency
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage a busy inbox
- A proactive, positive attitude and confidence to make decisions
- Qualifications in Business, Commerce or Finance (desired but not essential)
