Are you a motivated scientist looking to make a meaningful impact in a fast-evolving field? Join our cutting-edge Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT) laboratory—home of percept™ NIPT, an advanced prenatal screening service powered by massively parallel sequencing (MPS) of cell-free DNA (cfDNA).
The opportunity:
With both a strong commercial focus and a commitment to national and international leadership in cfDNA analysis, our laboratory delivers high-quality results at speed, supported by a dedicated team of genetic counsellors who partner closely with patients and clinicians.
We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic scientist, ideally with experience in prenatal cytogenetics, who is excited to gain specialised training in all aspects of NIPT. In this role, you’ll specialise in the analysis and interpretation of genome-wide NIPT results, contributing directly to improved outcomes for families.

What you’ll do
Carry out daily analysis, interpretation and report generation for genome-wide NIPT results
Collaborate with genetic counsellors, clinicians and referring doctors to support high-quality patient care
Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment in line with quality and operational standards
Maintain strong working knowledge of day-to-day diagnostic laboratory procedures
Meet laboratory turnaround-time targets with excellent prioritisation and organisational skills
Participate in internal/external quality assurance and continuous improvement programs
What you’ll bring
Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Applied Science and/or Honours
Strong work ethic with excellent time management and analytical problem-solving abilities
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
A collaborative mindset suited to a high-throughput, team-based laboratory
Experience with cytogenetic or genomic diagnostic tests is desirable
Knowledge or experience in prenatal cytogenetic diagnosis is desirable
