Hearts In Action is currently searching for another support worker to join our growing team. We're looking for someone who is in a financial position to start slow and build up to more hours. We only want one person, someone who truly aligns with our values, genuinely cares about people, and is prepared to stand by our participants through both the valuable and challenging times.
We aim to make a positive impact in our community. Life experience is something we really value, so if you've been wanting to get into the industry but don’t yet have formal experience, we’ll support the right person on their journey.
Your Role
You’ll be working directly with NDIS participants, providing in-home and community-based support. This includes:
- Personal care
- Community access and social support
- Transport to appointments or activities
- Building independence and confidence
- Documenting shifts
You’ll be supported during onboarding, and we’ll match you with participants that suit your experience.
What You Will Need
Note: You can acquire these during onboarding
- Current First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
- Supporting People to Stay Infection Free certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Valid driver’s license + own vehicle + comprehensive insurance
- A outstanding communicator with empathy and initiative
- Someone reliable, calm under pressure, and happy to learn
