Our Opportunity

Roster: Monday to Friday
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Mine Planning Engineer to join our Long-Term Planning Team. Reporting to the Principal Mine Engineer – Long-Term Planning, this role is responsible for developing and updating the five-year mine plan in line with the approved Life-of-Mine Plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, prepare, and deliver the five-year mine plan in alignment with the approved Life-of-Mine Plan, identifying improvement and optimisation opportunities
- Communicate and liaise with relevant stakeholders to present and discuss planning outcomes
- Undertake mine design work, including internal and external waste dump designs, and all other infrastructure designs required for the five-year plan
- Support project and scenario studies as required
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline, with a minimum of four years’ experience
- Experience in open pit mining, preferably within the iron ore sector
- Solid understanding of medium to long-term mine planning, scheduling, and mine design principles
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in mining software such as ATS and Vulcan
- Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative and results-driven approach
