Collaborate within a dedicated team in a unique environment as a Chef at Lavarack Barracks (Townsville). This role is suitable for candidates that enjoy bulk cooking with a passion for quality, flavour, and presentation. You’ll get full training and support while working in a agile and fun working environment.
The Position:
- Part time and full time positions available.
- Includes weekend shifts and additional function hours
- Prepare high-quality buffet-style meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts, and special events
- Maintain catering standards, comply with OH&S; and HACCP requirements, and prioritise waste reduction
- Support kitchen operations through inventory management,
receiving supplies, and monitoring cold room controls
- Deliver exceptional customer service in all interactions
The Person:
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
- Previous restaurant and or function experience required
- Proven experience in large commercial kitchens.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, allergen management, and food safety.
- Passionate about quality, with a focus on presentation and attention to detail.
- Goal-oriented, committed to personal and organisational success.
