About the Role
Join our passionate team as a Disability Support Worker at Discovering You Support Services. This part-time opportunity is about more than just work — it’s about helping individuals with disabilities achieve their goals and live more independently through personalised, meaningful support.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assisting with daily living (e.g. personal care, meals, household tasks, behaviour support)
- Supporting social, recreational, and community participation
- Advocating for participants and connecting them with the right supports
- Documenting client progress and ensuring accurate records
- Collaborating with families, other support workers, and care teams
- Promoting a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment
What We’re Looking For
- Understanding of the disability sector and complex needs
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Empathy, patience, and a passion for person-centred care
- Required checks/certifications:
- NDIS Worker Screening
- Working with Children Check
- First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Current driver’s licence & reliable transport
