Position Title: Retail Assistant
Classification: General Retail Award, Level 1
Location: Stafford Family Store
Status: Casual

The Role
This position exists to deliver customer-focused retail services that contribute to the daily operations of the store and warehouse, while supporting the mission and values of The Salvation Army.

How You Will Make an Impact

- Provide exceptional customer service and offer assistance across all areas of the store, including the shop floor, fitting rooms, and register, as required.

- Support the implementation and coordination of marketing initiatives and promotional activities within the store.

- Assist with receiving, processing, and preparing donations, ensuring stock is appropriately priced and continuously available on the shop floor.

- Carry out opening and closing procedures in accordance with established guidelines.

What You Will Bring

- Proven customer service experience in a retail workplace, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

- Experience supervising staff or volunteers in a retail or similar setting (highly desirable).





- Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of people.

- A reasonable level of physical fitness to perform the duties associated with the role.
