Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) is a consortium comprising of industry leading Tier 1 organisations - John Holland, Service Stream and WSP. We are helping our client, Sydney Water, to deliver a $34 billion dollar program over a long-term contract, providing design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services across their southern region - from Bondi to Gerringong, and out to the Georges River National Park
When you join D4C, you'll be joining a team of 700+ employees, all helping to provide services that are vital to Sydney Water's customers' quality of life, and to safeguard Sydney's future by maintaining a sustainable water supply and protecting our iconic waterways.
D4C is seeking a Civil Pipelayer to join their expanding team to deliver excellence across the Southern Region.
Primary Purpose: To join our crews to work on projects including, new developments, renewal projects, maintenance and capital projects in water, wastewater, and stormwater. Including trenching, working with live services, pit and pipe layout, lining, resurfacing, perform maintenance on existing assets and general labouring.
To be considered for this opportunity you must have the following:
- Minimum 5years' experience in civil construction pipelaying on watermains renewal or maintenance projects
- Be physically fit to complete all manual tasks required
- Proven experience laying a variety of different pipes, PVC, PE, Cast Iron, DICL
- Previous experience working in a small - medium size work team
- Construction industry - White Card
- NSW Drivers licence
Desirable Skills:
- Plumbing Certificate III
- Poly EF and Buttwelding ticket
- Experience and knowledge with pipe bursting and slip lining methodologies
- Licence to perform dogging
- Experience working on fast paced civil utilityprojects in high traffic setting
- Mobile plant statements of attainments for Excavator, Rollers, Skid steers Loaders etc
- Experience in similar role in most of the activities listed above and be able to provide references
- Be physically fit to complete all tasks required
- Heavy vehicle license(MR/HR)
- Control electrical risk on metallic pipes certification
Key Accountabilities:
- Professional and courteous customer service capabilities to engage with customers on-site
- Problem solving skills, attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team, to achieve contract goals and objectives.
Operating Monday to Friday - 7am start - 40 hours per week, you will also support capital work projects.
