Assistant Manager | Dedicated Night Closing Manager - Deer Park Hotel
We’re on the hunt for our next Assistant Manager to help keep the DPH buzzing and loved by the locals.
The Deer Park Hotel is a local favourite, known for fresh pub classics, a vibrant Sports Bar, and a welcoming beer garden. Whether hosting events or serving up great meals, we’re all about creating amazing experiences.
A day in the life of a Closing Night Assistant Manager:
- Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
- Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
- Love the hours of darkness, performing 4 x closing shifts and 1 x mid shift each week
- Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
- Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift
Inherent requirements:
- This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
About you:
- You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
- You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
- You’ve got the confidence, pride,
and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
- You’ve got a current RSA, RSG & Victorian Gaming Licence as per state requirements
