Description:
We’re seeking a skilled and proactive Handyman to join our team and take ownership of electrical maintenance across our site and office facilities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment and is passionate about keeping workplace infrastructure safe, efficient and compliant. The role will be Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:06pm with the opportunity of weekend OT, which is optional.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine electrical maintenance across office buildings.
- Repair electrical faults in lighting systems, power distribution,
office equipment and factory facilities, maintaining compliance with relevant standards and minimizing downtime.
- Coordinate with contractors and other trades for maintenance projects.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
- Support general facilities upkeep including minor repairs and installations.
- Support the operations and the infrastructure maintenance team.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Restricted Electrical Ticket (QLD) or a current Electrical Licence.
- EWP ticket would be advantageous
- Prior experience with the MEX maintenance management system or a similar platform will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the physical tasks required within the role, including sustained mobility and manual handling as needed.
- Proven experience in commercial or facilities maintenance environments.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
