About Rewind Photo Lab:

Rewind Photo Lab specialises in the accurate handling and processing of analogue film. We operate a technically driven lab environment that delivers high-quality film processing, scanning, and imaging services to both professional and everyday photographers. Our work relies on consistency, process control, and disciplined workflow management.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an Operations & Customer Experience Assistant to manage our front-of-house intake and technical workflows.

This role is not a creative photography position. It is an operations role that requires logic, systems thinking, and the ability to manage complex orders. It is ideal for candidates who enjoy optimising processes and ensuring technical specifications are met.

Store Hours & Availability

- Monday to Friday: 10 AM – 6 PM
- Saturday: 9 AM – 2 PM
- Flexible rostering to suit study commitments
- Minimum 2–4 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service & Front Desk Operations:

- Greet customers, process intake orders, and manage work tracking systems accurately
- Explain services, answer technical questions, and guide purchasing decisions
- Handle payments, reconcile transactions, and maintain accurate records

Lab Operations Support:

- Organise and prepare incoming work for processing workflow
- Conduct quality checks on output against defined standards
- Operate image processing software (training provided)
- Flag and troubleshoot issues in the workflow

Store Maintenance & Inventory:





- Maintain a clean, organised workspace for handling sensitive materials
- Track inventory levels, restock products, and manage displays

What We’re Looking For:

Required Attributes:

- Systems Thinker: You naturally look for the most efficient way to do things and enjoy following a structured process.
- Tech-Literate: High proficiency in computer systems, file management, and troubleshooting basic hardware issues.
- Detail-Oriented: You are the type of person who spots a typo immediately or notices when a file name is formatted incorrectly.
- Professional Polish: You can communicate complex information clearly and politely.

Required:

- Minimum 6 months' experience in customer service, front desk, receptionist, or retail roles
- Strong digital literacy and comfort learning new software/systems
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow documented processes consistently
- Clear communication skills—able to explain technical information simply
- Reliable and able to work independently (including opening/closing the store)

Preferred:

- Experience in high-end retail, medical/dental reception.
- Background in technical troubleshooting, equipment operation, or systematic workflows
- Familiarity with any image editing or batch processing software (not essential—we'll train you)

Job Type: Casual

Pay: From $34.48 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 38 per week

Work Location: In person
