We are looking for:

Byron Shire Council is currently seeking a Project Officer to work within our Assets and Major Projects Team. In this role you will be responsible for a high level of project delivery services in the planning, design and construction of Council's infrastructure. Performing the role of Project Manager, Client Representative, Contract Manager and Site Supervisor on assigned projects, from project initiation through to planning execution and closing phases. This role is initially a maximum term, full - time position (35 hours per week) to 1 February 2027.

About you:

- Tertiary qualifications variously in Building Certification, Project Management, Building Construction, Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering.
- Experience in the management of local government project delivery or the equivalent in another sector of significant projects greater than one million dollars.
- Demonstrated high level procurement and contract management skills and experience
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and work with the community, committees, government agencies and contractors with the ability to negotiate and resolve conflict.
- Current Drivers Licence

We offer:

- A maximum term, full - time position (35 hours per week) to 1 February 2027.

- Salary and Conditions will be in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award with an appointment at a salary in the range of Grade 10 $1,880.88 - $2,179.29. Grade 11 $2,003.14 - $2,320.94 per 35 hour week (dependent upon skills and experience)

Location:

This position is based at Mullumbimby however Council can require you to work from other work sites as required for operational reasons.
